Kelly Rizzo will have her first Christmas since the death of her late husband, beloved comedian and actor Bob Saget.

On Saturday, Rizzo shared her thoughts with her 440,000 Instagram followers about the last Christmas she spent with Bob, last year in Chicago.

The first image Kelly shared in Bob’s memory was a snapshot of them holding hands in front of a large stone carved lion statue, decorated with a giant red bow, Christmas lights and lots of decorative balls.

Kelly cut a sleek figure in a purple blazer, beige pants and Doc Martins boots.

Bob looked handsome in a black jacket, dark blue jeans, and black leather loafers.

In another image, Bob put his arm around Kelly as they posed near a large teddy bear nutcracker surrounded by metallic ornaments.

She also shared a photo of her and Bob in front of another large holiday display with gifts surrounding them.

Kelly shared the images of her and Bob together with a long and heartfelt rubric.

She wrote: ‘Enjoy every moment. I certainly didn’t think our first Christmas together (in the same city) last year would be our last. (it was the first year he came to Chicago to spend Christmas with my family along with my wonderful stepdaughter, Lara)

‘I’m so glad we had this special time together. He spent time with my niece Alex who was just 2 years old and met my niece Brooklyn who was just 2 weeks old. Alex still remembers “Uncle Bob” and talks about him every day.

Kelly continued: ‘He certainly left a lasting impression for which I am very grateful. But Bob did this to everyone he met. The holidays are a time of hope, love and togetherness. I pray that if you are missing a loved one this holiday season, you will be blessed with many deep, loving memories and gratitude to see you through.

Be grateful while you can: Kelly added: 'The holidays are a time of hope, love and togetherness. I pray that if you are missing a loved one this holiday season, you will be blessed with many deep, loving memories and gratitude to help you get through'

‘As I said before, I am so grateful to have this amazing man in my life and to have been with him for 6 years. There is no greater Christmas present than this.

Rizzo ended her message by thanking everyone who has helped her through this difficult year.

‘Sending love, prayers and wishes to you all. And I can’t thank you all for almost an entire year of love, support and kindness from everyone. It means more than you know. I just hope to show you how grateful I am and give back a little in time,” wrote Rizzo.

It’s unclear what he hit his head with, but whatever it was, it left a bruise on the back of his head. TMZ reports that authorities think it may have been the headboard, but they can’t say for sure.

A private funeral was held for the late performer in Los Angeles on Jan. 14, attended by his Full House co-stars John Stamos, Dave Coulier, Candace Cameron Bure, Jodie Sweeten, and Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen; and friends and colleagues like Jimmy Kimmel, Dave Chappelle, Chris Rock and John Mayer.

Saget had suffered a series of family tragedies, including the death of his sister Andrea at age 35 from a brain aneurysm in 1985, and the 1994 death of sister Gay from scleroderma.
