Kim Kardashian’s employees like to keep it neutral.

The 42-year-old “Kardashians” star may be known for her monochrome style, but it turns out the Skims founder’s fashion sense extends to her employees as well.

Sitting down with Angie Martinez on her “IRL” podcast yesterday, Kardashian said keeping things simple helps her deal with the chaos in her life — including co-parenting Kanye West — and that means choosing a calming color scheme. .

After Martinez commented on the “peaceful” nature of the reality star’s minimalist office, the founder of Skims and Skkn by Kim said: “When I post pictures of my house, they’re like, ‘wow, this is so minimalist and crazy ‘ or they understand. But I love it.”

“The people who work here are all color-coordinated,” noted Martinez. “Is this intentional?”

“Absolutely,” Kardashian said. “I have uniforms.”

When Martinez laughed, saying “stop!” the beauty and fashion entrepreneur explained, “It’s not like hey, it’s like your uniform. It’s just color palettes.”

Saying she has “a playbook,” Kardashian elaborated that her employees can wear “gray, heather gray, black, navy, white, cream, khaki… I mean, we can stick with all the neutrals.” Not much color blocking.

Explaining the thought process behind the dress code, the mother of four – whose minimalist home was likened by social media users to a “psychiatric ward” – told Martinez it was all about keeping the same feel at home. and at work.

“My house is so zen so I asked everyone how they felt about it and everyone said ‘this would make our lives so easy’. And once everyone was on board and thought it would be easier for them, I said yes, let’s do this.”

“I should have a free dress day on their birthdays or something,” she said with a laugh.

The star – who even released her own neutral line of headphones for Beats this year – tends to stick to the same color palette as her employees when it comes to everyday life, though she does throw in a pop of color every now and then.

But as for Balenciaga’s signature looks, don’t expect to see much of her on the brand these days.

The reality star rocked a sparkly nude dress in an Instagram snapshot.

Speaking about the designer’s controversial ad campaign featuring children holding BDSM-inspired teddy bears, Kardashian revealed to Martinez that she felt pressured to make a statement when she didn’t already have all the information.

“With the Balenciaga thing… everyone was like, ‘Why aren’t you talking? Why are you not talking? ‘” Kardashian told the podcast host. “And I’m like, ‘Wait. I’m not in this campaign. I don’t know what’s going on. Let me take a minute to like, research this.’”

While she may be branching out into other designers, we don’t expect Kardashian’s love of neutrals to go away anytime soon.

“It feels like home,” Kardashian said of her office. “It’s all like, monochromatic.”
