Kim Kardashian has expressed concern that her future boyfriends are “afraid” of her ex-husband Kanye West.
“There’s a part of me that’s like, ‘Oh my God, is everyone going to be scared because I don’t have the easiest ex? podcast.
“I don’t think it’s fair to put someone in a situation or bring in a new person who might be super innocent,” she continued. “So there’s a part of me that thinks, ‘Why would I have to live this way?’”
Elsewhere in her chat with host Angie Martinez, Kardashian, 42, wept about co-parenting struggles with West, 45, as his behavior has become increasingly controversial this year.
“It’s really fucking hard,” admitted the “Kardashians” star, who shares North, 9, Saint, 7, Chicago, 4, and Psalm, 3, with the rapper.
The former couple finalized their divorce on November 29. Kardashian originally filed in February 2021 after seven years of marriage.
West, who has failed to win back Kardashian despite several public attempts, made headlines this year for designing “White Lives Matter” clothing, a barrage of anti-Semitic attacks and allegedly showing pornography – including explicit photos of Kardashian – to former employees.
Though Kardashian sometimes worries that West’s reputation scares off potential suitors, she insisted she’s in the “fun zone” of being single.
“I don’t know if I’ll get married again, but I’ll have my partner forever. I know that. He’s coming for sure,” she told Martinez, 51. “I’m at peace and I’m going to have fun until that happens.”
The first person Kardashian dated after splitting from West was comedian Pete Davidson. They started dating in October 2021 but ended up breaking up in August.
During Kardashian’s relationship with Davidson, 29, West frequently attacked the “Saturday Night Live” alum via social media — which the Skims founder didn’t appreciate.
In February, the mother-of-four publicly called out West for posting threatening messages about Davidson – whom the infamous musician referred to as “Skeet” – online.
“Divorce is hard enough for our children,” she said in a statement at the time, “and Kanye’s obsession with trying to control and manipulate our situation in such a negative and public way is only causing more pain for everyone.”
